Introduction
On Thursday, 27th November 2025, Sharon English High School was filled with colours,
laughter, and creativity as we hosted the much-awaited Cover Craft Challenge at 1:30 pm. It
was a wonderful afternoon where our students and their parents transformed simple materials
into beautiful creations using their imagination and little hands.
The Cover Craft Challenge was designed not just as a competition, but as a joyful learning
experience. The main purpose was to help students explore their creativity, express their ideas
freely, and feel proud of what they create. Every child and parent participated with great
excitement and enthusiasm, making the event truly special.
The challenge involved listening carefully to a story narrated in class, understanding its details,
and bringing the story to life through a beautifully illustrated book cover page.
The Day of the Cover Craft Challenge

On the day of the event, excitement was palpable in the classroom. Students eagerly waited for
the activity to begin. Everyone listened to the story with rapt attention; later, parents and children
discussed ideas and got to work, cutting, colouring, pasting, and decorating with great
enthusiasm.
Some students worked quietly with deep concentration, while others happily discussed ideas
with their parents and worked together creatively. We made sure every child felt supported and
confident throughout the activity. The atmosphere was warm, collaborative, and full of creativity.
It was heartening to see the strong bond between parents and children as they brought their ideas
to life.
Unique Creations by Students
One of the most beautiful parts of the Cover Craft Challenge was seeing how each parent-child
team’s creation was different. Every cover reflected a unique interpretation of the story, shaped
by the ideas and creativity of both parents and children. The variety of colors, designs, and
themes made the display truly delightful. This diversity highlighted the individuality of each
team while celebrating collaborative effort. Together, parents and children turned simple
materials into meaningful works of art.
Display and Appreciation
After completing their covers, children proudly displayed them along with their parents. A small
exhibition was organized in the classroom so everyone could admire each other’s work. Children
and parents clapped and appreciated the creativity on display, helping reinforce the values of
respect, kindness, and encouragement.

Many children felt proud when their parents and peers admired their work. This small moment
filled them with confidence and happiness. It also strengthened the bond between parents and
children. The classroom felt joyful, supportive, and full of shared pride.

Parents’ Feedback
One such heartfelt feedback came from Mr. Prabhjyot Singh, parent of Nimrat Kaur:
“The Cover Craft Challenge was held on 27th Nov, 2025 at 1:30 pm Thursday at in Sharon
English High School.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the amazing craft activity. The kids had such a blast
getting their hands messy and creating something they can be proud of. I felt so grateful
watching my child's excitement as they showed me their creation. It reminded me how much joy
and confidence these simple projects can bring, and how lucky we are to have a teacher who puts
so much thought and energy into making learning fun.
Thanks again for all the creative projects and patience you bring to the class. Looking forward to
more awesome.”

Reading such feedback fills our hearts with gratitude and motivation. It assures us that our efforts
are making a positive difference in our students’ lives. It also reminds us that parents and
teachers working together can create a strong support system for children.
The Cover Craft Challenge was not just a competition—it was a celebration of creativity,
confidence, and joyful learning. We are proud of every student who participated and gave their
best. Each child walked away with not just a beautiful craft but also a sense of achievement.
We look forward to many more such meaningful experiences that continue to nurture creativity,
strengthen partnerships with parents, and inspire our children to learn with joy and confidence.
